Base pay range $16.50/hr - $18.00/hr Job Title: Anchor Crew Department: Moorage Reports to: Anchor Crew Manager Position Prerequisites High school graduate preferred. Experience and knowledge of marina operations. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing & carpentry tasks. Basic maintenance and use of small power tools and hand tools. Ability to work with guests in all areas with a positive approach. Ability to concentrate on detail and follow-up work while maintaining a high standard of guest satisfaction. Ability to work as a team. Purpose Maintain a clean, safe, and operational marina, and ensure proper mooring and anchoring. Major Duties All necessary maintenance for upkeep of marina. Ensure proper rigging on a daily basis by checking all anchoring, winch lines, both dockside and landside. Conduct marina movement as necessary and provide safe access for customers. Knowledge of safely operating the boom truck and anchor barge. Knowledge of water systems; sewer, fresh water. Know where shut-off valves are for electrical, water, etc., and how to operate them. Ensure access to marinas is maintained, providing safe entrance and egress at all times. Understand the principles of underwater anchoring and mooring. Ensure that marinas are properly moored and anchored at all times. Use “clean as you go” method when performing work duties. Operate equipment with energy conservation in mind. Adhere to safety policies. Attend all departmental, resort, and training meetings. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and fellow employees (both within the department and in other resort departments). Maintain a positive attitude toward the resort and the job being performed. General Be aware of daily activities and events at the resort. Be knowledgeable of all resort operations. Perform all reasonable job requests assigned by management. Material handling: stooping, bending, lifting an average of 30 pounds will be part of some job requirements.
