ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Roanoke, Virginia.

\nRegistered Nurse - PCU
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
\n• 13-week assignment on 8 South Radius PCU
\n• General medicine PCU hospitalist unit with patient ratios of 1:5, goal of 1:4
\n• Hybrid unit consisting of 2 ICU beds and 10 PCU beds
\n• Care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses including DKA, COPD, sepsis, suicide/overdose, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
\n• Work with vent/trach dependent patients and special equipment including ventilators and tracheostomy care
\n• May work without CNA support
\n• Perform 2 nurse assessment/bedside reporting every shift
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required with 1:5 patient ratio experience
\n• Virginia or compact state nursing license required
\n• Required certifications: ACLS-AHA, BLS-AHA, and NIHSS
\n• Epic charting system experience required
\n• Skills include dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care, telemetry, IV insulin protocols, and wound care
\n• 24 hours of orientation provided
\n• Weekend coverage required with at least 1 holiday per assignment (2 holidays during winter season)
\n• Previous charge experience and trauma level I experience preferred
\n• Not ideal for first-time travelers
\n• All RTO must be sent with initial submittal (Christmas RTO cannot be approved)
