Job Description Job Description Reports To: President / Executive Director Summary: Butterfly Staffing is seeking a Financial Manager on behalf of our client; a federal construction contractor focused on the renovation and modernization of government healthcare and laboratory facilities. With $10M+ in annual revenue and a strong compliance reputation, this is a critical role supporting project-level financial oversight, long-term planning, and DCAA readiness. The right candidate will bring a sharp eye for detail, a solid understanding of government contract requirements, and the leadership capacity to help shape scalable financial operations over time. Key Responsibilities: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting to senior leadership Track job-level performance, WIP schedules, and cost-to-complete projections Coordinate with PMs to align revenue recognition, cost tracking, and change order impacts Oversee indirect rate allocations, labor distribution, and project-level financial accuracy Manage DCAA compliance, CPA audits, and federal agency reporting Monitor daily cash flow, AR/AP, and vendor disbursements Recommend and implement financial systems to improve reporting and forecasting Support scaling of finance processes across multiple related business entities Ideal Candidate Profile: ~5–10 years of experience in construction finance, ideally federal or healthcare-related ~ Deep familiarity with FAR, DFARS, DCAA, and GAAP ~ Strong command of WIP reporting, earned value tracking, and indirect cost management ~ Ability to support multiple long-term projects with significant compliance components ~ Proficiency in accounting software such as FOUNDATION®, Deltek, or QuickBooks GovCon ~ Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term stability and scalability Growth Outlook: This position is well-suited for someone with an executive mindset and a deep understanding of financial systems in construction.
