Position Title: District Loss Prevention Manager – British Columbia

Reports To: Head of Loss Prevention

Location: Field-based across BC (Retail, Warehouse, and Office Environments)

Salary: $80,000-85,000.00

JD Sports Canada is seeking a seasoned District Loss Prevention Manager to join our growing

team and lead Loss Prevention strategy across British Columbia. This critical field role is

responsible for protecting company assets, reducing shrink, and supporting operational

excellence through data-driven insights, investigations, audits, and partnership with store

leadership.

As a key member of the Loss Prevention function, the ideal candidate will bring over 5 years of

relevant LP experience, a proactive mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and exceptional

communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven professional looking to elevate

their impact across a dynamic, high-growth retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support store operations by analyzing internal and external loss trends, fraud patterns, and inventory discrepancies
• Conduct store audits to evaluate compliance with operational and loss prevention standards
• Lead and support investigations into theft, fraud, and policy violations; conduct interviews as needed
• Deliver engaging and effective training to store teams focused on shrink reduction, safety, and inventory accuracy
• Build strong partnerships with store teams, law enforcement, and internal business units to drive accountability and results
• Monitor key LP metrics and support execution of companywide shrink and safety programs
• Contribute to special projects and national initiatives as required

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Loss Prevention, Asset Protection, or a related retail security function
• Strong working knowledge of retail operations and investigative practices
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify risks, and recommend actionable solutions
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently across the province, including the island and interior.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Lift and/or move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Work environments include retail, warehouse, and office settings

Travel Requirements:

This position requires regular travel across British Columbia (3–5 days/week), including

occasional overnight stays. Candidates must be flexible to travel by land, ferry or air as needed

based on business requirements.
