La Gorce Country Club is in search of an enthusiastic, and energetic individual to join our Team as Winter Kids Camp Counselor - Seasonal!

Assignment Dates: December 22 to January 2nd. 8:30am to 2:30pm

Counselors must be available: on dates and times listed above******

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility of safety of campers
• Participate in various activities with campers throughout the day
• Daily Set up and break down of camp’s activities
• Assist instructors and staff with all camp activities
• Chaperone campers to the restroom
• Serve and supervise lunch daily
• Work to ensure all the campers are and feel comfortable and safe
• Lead and organize various age appropriate games for children ages 6-12
• Coordinate with director and coordinator in ordering supplies as needed.
• Bring any safety considerations immediately to the coordinator’s attention.
• Maintain stringent supervision of children in Winter Camp program including supervision around all aquatic areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must have previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting.
• Need to be Punctual, friendly, motivated, and alert
• Must be neat and well-groomed
• Must enjoy working in a team environment
• Must have the ability to be flexible and rise above stressful situations
• Must be over 18 years old
• Must be able to commit to camp dates
• Prefer at least 2 years of experience as a Camp Counselor
• Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor living, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.
• Preferred certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED

Education:

College degree, preferably with a major in recreation or related experience.

Physical Abilities:

Must be able to work on feet; able to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds, that includes equipment and furniture.
