Our project combines innovative gameplay mechanics with immersive storytelling, and we’re seeking talented individuals to help bring this vision to life. We’re seeking a Real-Time VFX Intern to help bring our powers, combat effects, and screen impacts to life. &##127918; Role Overview: As an Intern Real-Time VFX Artist, you will collaborate with the art and design teams to create dynamic, real-time visual effects in Unreal Engine. You’ll be responsible for power activation effects, enemy impact visuals, and first-person screen effects, helping to shape the game’s visual identity. &##127918;Key Responsibilities: Design and implement real-time VFX for elemental powers (fire, water, lightning, earth, wind). Create impact effects on enemies (burning, electrocuting, freezing, etc.). Develop first-person screen effects when players are hit (blur, distortion, elemental overlays). Use Unreal Engine’s Niagara system to build particle systems and simulations. Optimize VFX performance to maintain smooth gameplay. Collaborate with animators and designers to integrate VFX with gameplay. Participate in team reviews to receive feedback and iterate on effects. &##127918;Qualifications Experience with UE Niagara, personal projects, coursework, or game jams welcome. Experience with UE Particle system personal projects, coursework, or game jams welcome. Familiarity with Photoshop or Substance Designer for creating VFX textures. Basic understanding of materials and shaders in Unreal Engine. Strong creativity and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and adapt in a collaborative environment.
