Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU/PCU RN with large Level 1 or 2 trauma experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and Epic proficiency for a resource pool night shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Resource pool RN position covering all ICU and PCU units in a large hospital setting
• Shift schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts (6:45pm-7:15am) with holiday coverage required
• Patient ratios are 2:1 in ICU and 5:1 in PCU
• Staffing office may reassign nurses to any ICU or PCU unit as frequently as every 4 hours based on hospital needs
• Epic EMR is used and prior experience with Epic is required
• Assignments range from 13 to 52 weeks based on mutual agreement
• Travelers are required to work at least one holiday per 13-week assignment, and two holidays during the winter holiday season (Thanksgiving, Christmas or Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve or New Year's)
• Return travelers must have a minimum one-year separation from previous employment at the facility, with additional restrictions for those who have worked 365 days in total
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are considered local and not eligible; those living 50-99.9 miles away may complete one 13-week assignment with no eligibility to extend, and those under 50 miles are eligible at a local pay rate
• Orientation modules must be completed before or during the first week, with up to 7 hours paid for required Epic and general modules
• All requests for time off must be provided up front; Christmas RTO cannot be approved

• Active VA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Extensive experience in large Level 1 or Level 2 trauma settings required
• Must be comfortable working in both ICU and PCU environments
• Epic EMR experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver’s license and SSN must be provided
