Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract position is available for a Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within an educational setting in Lexington, SC. This role supports effective communication between students and faculty by providing accurate and clear sign language interpretation, primarily through virtual platforms.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality sign language interpretation during telehealth sessions to facilitate learning and communication
• Collaborating with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusivity for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• Adapting interpretation techniques to meet the needs of diverse learners across various subjects
• Documenting sessions and maintaining confidentiality in line with school policies

Qualifications and experience sought:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification preferred
• Prior experience interpreting in educational or telehealth environments
