Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This exciting opportunity seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-12 students in Mechanicsville, VA. The position spans the full school year, from August 12, 2025, to May 22, 2026, with a contract schedule onsite, providing 37.5 hours per week. Multiple openings are available to serve a diverse caseload across all grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering speech and language therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of therapy goals and outcomes
  • Engage with students in both small group and one-on-one settings to facilitate effective communication skills development
  • Participate in professional development and ongoing training to enhance clinical skills

Qualifications:

  • Current Virginia SLPA license required
  • Experience working in a school setting with K-12 populations preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with educators, families, and clinical teams
  • Commitment to student success and professional growth
