Job Position: School Social Worker (Early Childhood Pre-K)
Location: Near Joliet, IL
Pay Rate: $40.00/hr to $50.00/hr
Description:
Birch Agency is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Social Worker to join our team for the 20252026 school year . This position will serve early childhood students (Pre-K) in a school setting near Joliet, Illinois .
Provide social-emotional support and interventions for Pre-K students
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needs
Conduct assessments and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as needed
Assist in the development and implementation of behavior management strategies
Serve as a liaison between school, home, and community services
Start Date: August 2025
Schedule: Full-time, school hours
Setting: Early childhood / Pre-K classroom(s)
Contract: 20252026 academic year
Masters Degree in Social Work (MSW)
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
Experience in early childhood education is highly preferred
