Job Description: This job is responsible for the implementation of the bank's physical security program, policies, and procedures in select facilities and regions. Key responsibilities include responding to critical physical events when necessary, supporting incident management activities, managing security programs related to physical security, assessing the threat landscape and mitigating risk, and communicating with market leaders, employees, and business partners to increase awareness of security programs, initiatives, and trends. Consults with local LOB managers and provides assistance and issue resolution. Participates in investigations of physical security incidents and other incidents as directed, providing timely documentation. Functions as team lead during security-related incidents. The PSM will be the bank's liaison to law enforcement and advise the local leadership on security related legal and regulatory requirements. The Protective Services Manager (PSM) will develop cost effective plans to manage access control and security risk to the bank. The PSM is a member of the crisis management team and is the in-house consultant to management in response to threats and natural disasters. May provide consultation and guidance to line and senior management, as well as other key stakeholders and internal customers on security-related issues. Develops and maintains effective, active working relationships with primary clients, business partners, team members, and external contacts that are relevant to the PSM's specific area of responsibility and actively fosters an environment of teamwork. Provides leadership, directly or through influence, to meet all objectives of the corporate security program and to address unplanned events. Able to work independently and may manage entry level professionals, or interns. Defines physical security system standards, policies, required upgrades, maintenance, and day-to-day supervision of all security systems through system integrators or internal resources. Delivers technology solutions aligned to bank business strategies and to reduce risk. Maintains close contact with security integrator project teams to ensure successful delivery of security elements based on prescribed schedule and budget. Collaborates with other lines of business to identify relevant products and solutions to their business needs/challenges. Develops and delivers project updates to key stakeholders. Meets all objectives of the corporate security program and addresses any unplanned events. Responsibilities: Manages incidents including robberies, burglaries, workplace violence, thefts, and other security related incidents while providing timely updates to stakeholders and completing documentation. Oversees, coordinates, and provides direction to on-site management when dealing with crises or emergency events and trains teams on appropriate security, safety, and risk mitigation strategies. Builds and maintains relationships with all levels of management and key stakeholders, such as local market leaders, financial center managers, facility managers, and external security experts to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal law. Conducts security assessments to identify and remediate risk in financial centers, remote ATMs, and administrative/operations buildings. Manages guard deployment strategy and security integrator work, including security equipment related projects for assigned areas of responsibility. Partners with stakeholders in the physical security planning and installation process for new facilities and renovations. Investigates, responds to and documents incidents following specified times and processes, including in-person response as appropriate. Conducts Threat Vulnerability Assessments on facilities and implements recommendations to reduce the identified risks. Partners with Life Safety and Threat Management on incidents to assess behaviors and activities and help ensure the safety of our facilities and people. Maintains relationships with facility and security vendors and provides project support to ensure physical security best practices. Supports executive protection and major events support on an as needed basis. Monitors various sources of information, conducts research, and provides actionable intelligence to support decision-making and proactive security measures. Gathers information on emerging threats, cyber attacks, geopolitical events, and other relevant security-related topics. Assesses the credibility, reliability, and relevance of intelligence sources and reports. Analyzes collected intelligence to identify patterns, trends, and potential indicators of malicious activity or security risks. Programs, tests and maintains security applications and ensures they are set according to standards. Ensures access provisioning to bank facilities is accurately maintained. Required Qualifications: Must have 4+ yrs experiences in either prior law enforcement, investigative experience, or military special operations experiences. Experience in working with security technology – previous experiences defining physical security system standards, upgrades, maintenance, and day to day supervision of systems. Excellent Communication Skills (verbal and written) and be able to interact with internal and external customers/leadership. Critical Thinking skills - have demonstrated abilities to make critical decisions during critical events. Proven ability to develop effective relationships across divisional lines and to work with all levels of the company, including senior management. Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated/self-starter. Strong Influencing skills - have the ability to interact and work closely with internal and external stakeholders. Must have adaptability - be able to understand the different lines of business in the bank and tailor solutions to meet their needs. Proficient computer skills – working with MS Office suite.
