We are seeking a meticulous and detail‑oriented Proofreader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and refining various types of written content to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to established style guidelines. This role is essential in maintaining the quality and accuracy of our publications, proposals, and other written materials. Duties Review and proofread documents for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors. Edit content for clarity, consistency, and adherence to AP style or the Chicago Manual of Style as required. Conduct fact‑checking to verify the accuracy of information presented in documents. Collaborate with writers and editors to enhance the overall quality of content. Provide constructive feedback on writing style and structure. Assist in research efforts to support content development. Maintain a high standard of quality across all written materials, including technical documents, proposals, and creative writing projects. Skills Strong proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in copy editing and editing techniques. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. Solid writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and style as needed. Familiarity with AP style and the Chicago Manual of Style. Experience in fact‑checking and conducting thorough research. Background in journalism or related fields is a plus. Knowledge of copywriting principles and proposal writing techniques. Ability to engage in technical writing when necessary. Proficient in word processing software and tools. Creative writing skills are desirable for enhancing content engagement.
