Job Title: Pipe Layer

Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
TradeCorp Skilled Trades Staffing is seeking experienced and reliable Pipe Layers to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of construction site procedures and experience installing pipes for various projects, including water, sewer, and drainage systems.

Responsibilities:

• Lay and align pipes for water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
• Prepare trenches and bedding materials to secure pipes.
• Measure and cut pipes to the required specifications using tools such as saws and pipe cutters.
• Ensure proper pipe alignment by following blueprints and plans.
• Seal joints between pipe sections with glue, cement, or welding.
• Operate equipment such as lasers and levels to ensure proper slope and grade.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure safety and project efficiency.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a pipe layer or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of pipe materials (PVC, ductile iron, etc.) and installation techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
• Familiarity with trench safety and OSHA guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation to job sites.

Experience w/ following is best:

• Ductile pipe mechanical joint, flexring, lockring, megalugs, fittings, valves, etc.
• RCP/HDPE storm pipe, manhole, vaults, catch basins, etc.
• C-900 Slip Joint
• HDPE Fusion pipe
• Flange Pipe (DIP, PVC, CPVC, Steel, etc.)
• Pipe supports, floatation collors, clevis hangers
• Glue joint pipe pvc, cpvc, dual containment, etc.
