Randall Childrens Hospital at Legacy Emanuel is seeking to expand our team and welcome BE / BC Pediatric Critical Care physicians to apply for supplemental employment to begin 2025. Our current practice consists of 6 board-certified pediatric intensivists and a PA-C. We are a recipient of the Gold Beacon Award by the AACN for excellence in multi-disciplinary, collaborative, family-centered pediatric critical care.

Randall Childrens Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 9-story freestanding Childrens Hospital affiliated with Legacy Emanuel Hospital. Our facility offers a large, separate Children's Emergency Department open 24/7, a LEVEL IV NICU, the regions only inpatient rehabilitation facility, and a 24-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with large private rooms promoting family-centered care. The hospital has over 100 pediatric sub-specialty professionals and is verified as both a Level I Pediatric Trauma and Level I Pediatric Surgical center. Legacy Health System includes seven hospitals, numerous clinics, a regional medical laboratory, a research facility, and The Oregon Burn Center.

Responsibilities :

• The Pediatric Intensivist provides hospital-based critical care to inpatients in the Pediatric ICU as the attending physician-of-record.
• Responds to pediatric codes, manages ECLS, oversees advanced modes of ventilation including VDR, directs pediatric transport, and supervises care by advanced practitioners.
• Collaborates with pediatric surgical and sub-specialty services for comprehensive patient management.

Experience :

Clinical experience in Pediatric Critical Care, including management of ECLS.

Education :

• Graduate of an accredited four-year medical school or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited pediatric residency and fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

Licensure / Certification :

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in pediatric critical care by the American Board of Pediatrics.
• Maintains or obtains subspecialty certification in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine within two testing cycles of hire.
• Unrestricted medical license in Oregon.
• Active medical staff membership with appropriate privileges at Legacy Hospitals.
• Unrestricted federal and state registrations for prescribing controlled substances in Oregon.
• BLS and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association.
