Great West Casualty is seeking an Operational Support Supervisor to guide and develop our Workers' Compensation Underwriting Support team within the fast-paced world of commercial trucking insurance. This is your opportunity to play a critical role in supporting underwriters, enhancing team efficiency, and delivering best-in-class service to our agents and insureds.
Location: South Sioux City, Nebraska
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop team members through regular performance feedback, goal setting, and professional development.
Train staff and oversee onboarding of new team members.
Assign and delegate workload to meet deadlines and service standards.
Monitor and maintain quality and timeliness of work in support of underwriters and policy issuance.
Oversee continuing process improvements and contribute to system enhancements and updates.
Coordinate policy endorsement system in collaboration with other support managers to ensure consistent workflows and service delivery.
Research and resolve issues related to policy and endorsement production; respond to inquiries from underwriters, agents, and insureds.
Support communication and collaboration between departments to facilitate accurate and timely service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience in a leadership role or demonstrated potential for supervision and management.
Insurance industry experience preferred, especially within Workers' Compensation.
Completion of or progress toward insurance continuing education is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative and adaptable mindset.
