Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated and detail oriented Meat Cutter/ Slaughter specialist to join our team. This role involves the humane slaughter of livestock, skilled butchering , and preparation for retail and wholesale customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform humane slaughter of livestock in accordance with USDA and company standards.


• Break down carcasses into primal and retail cuts


• Trim, bone, and grind meats as needed


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cutting areas and equipment


• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines


• Assist customers or coworkers with special meat orders as needed

Skills

• Prior meat cutting and/or slaughter experience preferred but not required.


• Knowledge of meat anatomy, cutting techniques, and food safety regulations


• Ability to safely operate knives, saws, grinders and other processing equipment


• Must be able to work in cold conditions


• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
