Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager Azure Dev Ops Administration with deep expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO), along with solid experience in JIRA and enterprise reporting tools such as Power BI. The Manager Azure Dev Ops Administration will focus on the administration, optimization, and integration of ADO within a modern DevOps environment, while supporting cross-functional collaboration through robust reporting and tool alignment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about enabling Agile delivery at scale through efficient tool usage, workflow standardization, and actionable insights. The Manager Azure Dev Ops Administration will lead tool migrations, manage integrations across the DevOps toolchain, and support organizational goals with real-time, high-impact reporting dashboards.

What you will do in this role:

Azure DevOps (ADO) & JIRA Administration

  • Administer, configure, and support Azure DevOps (ADO) across multiple teams, ensuring scalable structures, process templates, and work item hierarchies
  • Maintain and support JIRA instances used in parallel or integrated environments, aligning configurations to organizational practices
  • Implement best practices for workflows, permissions, and automations to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Perform upgrades, system health checks, and resolve issues to maintain a stable tooling environment

DevOps Toolchain Integration

  • Integrate ADO and JIRA with tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Bitbucket to support continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to streamline tool connectivity and resolve integration-related issues
  • Ensure seamless data flow between project tracking, version control, and deployment tools

Migration Management

  • Lead migrations between systems (e.g., from JIRA to ADO or vice versa), including work items, boards, workflows, and reports
  • Develop and execute detailed migration strategies ensuring data accuracy and minimal disruption
  • Provide post-migration support and documentation

Reporting & Dashboard Development

  • Design and maintain actionable dashboards using Power BI, ADO Analytics, and JIRA reporting capabilities
  • Build reporting roadmaps aligned with team and leadership priorities, surfacing delivery health, velocity, and throughput metrics
  • Ensure traceability and real-time visibility across the development lifecycle

Training & Enablement

  • Develop comprehensive training materials for ADO, JIRA, and reporting tools
  • Conduct training sessions, workshops, and office hours to onboard and upskill users across the organization
  • Continuously update training content based on user feedback and platform updates

Cross-Team Collaboration & Support

  • Partner with Agile teams, project managers, and engineering leadership to optimize tool usage and support Agile at scale
  • Provide hands-on support, coaching, and best practices to enhance adoption and ensure alignment with enterprise processes
  • Monitor industry trends and tool updates, proactively recommending improvements
  • Strong hands-on experience administering Azure DevOps (ADO) including process customization, pipeline management, and user permissions
  • Solid experience administering ADO, including advanced workflow design and integration with DevOps systems
  • Proven success integrating DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and Bitbucket with ADO and/or JIRA
  • Proficient in building dashboards and reports using Power BI, ADO Analytics, or equivalent tools
  • Experience leading tool and data migrations between JIRA, ADO, and other systems
  • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps practices and how tools enable those methodologies
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills

What qualifications you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree - Required
  • 5-7 years Experience as Azure DevOps Admin in a large organization with global presence - Required
  • 3 years Experience with scripting or automation (e.g., PowerShell, REST APIs, Python) - Required
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

  • Azure DevOps Administration Certification - Required
