Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $28-40.00/hour DOE
• Location: Houston, TX
• Assignment Duration: 12 months+
• Work Schedule: 9/80. Position is remote, but candidates must be local, and willing to appear in the office as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Travel Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a travel booking function. 2+ years of experience with complex international ticketing
• Advanced proficiency with travel management software, online booking tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Mastery of native Sabre GDS functionalities required
• Excellent time management skills, communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for problem solving
• Leadership track interest is preferred. Supervisor or management experience a plus
• Experience in traveler facing customer service
• Experience using Teams and SharePoint
• Understanding of common travel policies
• Team player mindset and a collaborative spirit
• In-House Corporate Travel experience. Experience as a Concur Travel administrator
• Prior exposure to projects involving large-scale or complex crew changes
• High-School diploma required

Responsibilities:

• Leverage 5-10 years of progressive experience as a professional travel consultant, with significant emphasis on complex international travel
• Master native Sabre GDS functionalities (not limited to graphical interface use) for use in handling complex fare construction, exchanges, and ticketing
• Manage crew rotations and understand the operational intricacies involved
• Manage high-pressure situations, multitask, and deliver exceptional traveler service
• Meticulously complete complex trip planning and booking with minimal supervision
• Discreetly handle sensitive or confidential company information
• Adapt to technological change as needed
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative projects, contributing ideas and feedback to achieve goals
• Support a positive and inclusive work environment by supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and effectively communicating
• Balance customer satisfaction with cost-effective solutions, guiding travelers in making decisions that align with the company's financial goals and operational standards
• Maintain clear communication with travelers and internal teams to ensure a seamless and efficient travel experience
• Maintains active engagement with the travel industry and its regulatory landscape
• Establishes and upholds departmental procedures and standards for the team, with the aim of ensuring optimal safety for employees and contractors during travel
• Fosters a culture of safety and trust by supporting efficient procedures that promote inclusion and continuous improvement
• Promote, uphold, and remain accountable to the core values of Client
