Position Overview
As the Director of Rehabilitation, you will oversee all aspects of the rehabilitation department, ensuring high-quality service delivery across all therapy disciplines. You’ll play a key role in developing clinical programs, mentoring team members, managing schedules and resources, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of physical, occupational, and speech therapists.
• Ensure all clinical documentation is accurate, timely, and organized; conduct regular audits.
• Manage staff schedules efficiently to meet patient care needs.
• Oversee recruitment and development of PRN staff as necessary.
• Promote and implement clinical programs that enhance patient outcomes.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, staff evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
• Build strong professional relationships with staff, facility leadership, residents, and families.
• Analyze budget performance and ensure department goals are consistently met.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment in compliance with infection control and healthcare standards.
Qualifications
• Valid Texas licensure as a PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or SLP
• Good standing with all licensing and regulatory agencies
• Leadership experience in a rehabilitation setting preferred
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) or long-term care preferred
• Proficiency with Net Health documentation system a plus
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
