Duties Special agents perform investigations and protection duties, often at multiple duty stations across the U.S. and abroad. Responsibilities include: Providing protection for various protectees. Conducting criminal investigations related to U.S. financial obligations. Planning and executing security for National Special Security Events. Requirements U.S. citizenship is required. Valid driver's license required. Must carry and be proficient with a firearm. Minimum age of 21 at application, less than 37 at conditional offer, with exceptions for prior federal service or veterans' preference. Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance. Visual acuity of 20/100 binocular uncorrected, 20/20 corrected; hearing within specified limits. Pass drug tests before and during employment. Complete 13 weeks of training at FLETC and 18 weeks at the James J. Rowley Training Center. Willingness to accept assignments nationwide and overseas. Register with the Selective Service System if applicable.
