About the Role:

The Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities by providing essential administrative support. This position involves managing patient records and facilitating communication between care team members. The successful candidate will contribute to enhancing patient experiences by ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and accurately. Additionally, the role requires maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, which is vital for the integrity of the medical practice. Ultimately, the Care Coordinator is key to creating a welcoming and organized environment that allows healthcare professionals to focus on patient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in administrative assistance, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or similar credential.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist in the timely preparation of medical documents and reports, including insurance and billing inquiries.
  • Coordinate communication between care team members, addressing inquiries and providing information as needed.
  • Monitor daily schedules to optimize workflow of the care team.

Skills:

The required skill of administrative assistance is utilized daily through tasks such as managing schedules, which requires strong organizational abilities and attention to detail. Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with care team members, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly and professionally. Full-time Monday- Thursday 8:30am- 5:00pm, & Friday 8:30am- 12:30pm
