Job Summary

The part-time Esports Assistant will serve the College of Eastern Idaho by assisting the Esports Coordinator in developing, administering, planning, implementing, and recruiting for competitive esports activities and events, including various games and platforms (PC, Nintendo, etc.)

Typical Job Functions

Assist the coordinator in putting on Nintendo and PC tournaments Assist in planning and promotion of a broad spectrum of video-game related (and supportive/adjacent) activities, events, and programs that will build and cultivate a vibrant/active social life to support retention efforts This position will assist the Esports club in its events and activities Assist in social media content creation and post to the appropriate social media platforms. These platforms will include, Discord, Instagram, Twitch, and YouTube Perform other job-related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to work Saturdays as assigned by the Esports Coordinator. Other days will be scheduled with the Esports Coordinator.
  • Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesnt sponsor H-1B Visas)
Additional Desired Qualifications

Some office experience Knowledge of Accounting and Business Office Technologies Ability to work well with people Knowledge of PC and Nintendo Game systems. Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to these systems. Reliable, attentive, punctual, good work ethic, and good with numbers and marketing/promotion Knowledge of competitive esports titles, or the willingness to learn more about the CEI Esports competitive games. (CEI Esports titles might include Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, Call of Duty, League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Rainbow Six Siege, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Valorant, etc) Bilingual (Spanish)______________________________________________________________________


Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gross manipulations (involves hands) and standing or sitting (combination) is required.

Onsite work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.

Background Investigations:
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks.
