Your Role & Responsibilities - Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary tests, and crafting individualized treatment plans
- Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic illnesses independently or in collaboration with physicians (depending on credentialing)
- Educating patients and families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management
- Prescribing treatments and medications within the scope of your practice
- Engaging in follow-up discussions and chronic care planning
- Working with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless, holistic care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
Educational Background - Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Licensure & Certifications - Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Tennessee
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or similar specialty
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
Distinctive Skills - Excellent clinical judgment complemented by a caring bedside manner
- Strong communication abilities with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Capacity to adapt in dynamic, patient-centric environments
- Familiarity with EMR systems and comfort with telehealth technologies
